The sabers my Sect uses to cultivate... I didn't avoid using mine just because I didn't want to fight. They're the reason we're able to outshine the other Sects in pure strength, but they-- when they're used to kill countless monsters, demons, and resentful spirits, they grow bloodthirsty. They have a spirit of their own.
It becomes too much for their wielder to control, and they grow more violent themselves, up until they... experience a qi deviation. But the saber spirit won't answer to any other master, and it still wants to fight.
No, but it does sound like something one might name theirs.
[no crossover there... shit we don't even know what huaisang's was called.]
The tomb is how the sixth Sect Leader decided to contain them, though. Their killing intent is a problem if they're not controlled somehow, so he... created the saber tomb, and filled it with corpses that were close to transforming. The saber spirits suppress the corpses, keeping them from ever becoming a danger, and the corpses keep the spirits occupied.
It's - scary how much this house could be like that. Down to the bit about someone filling this place with corpses that were close to transforming.
[ she doesn't like thinking of herself as a corpse, but. they're all on the chopping block. ]
... Fuck. That sounds like the most likely theory so far. I don't know if Blue knows anything about it, because they keep acting like they don't know what the fuck is going on, but. Blue could be a really good liar. I can't tell. It's hard, when we're not face to face.
If we can still speak to ghosts that say they were here before-- they're still tied here, somehow. They weren't freed from this place in death. So it really must be...

[hm. he sets the jar aside for now.]
It's-- my Sect's saber tomb.

Regularly. Fucking... walking corpses and hand monsters and buildings that eat people. [ grumble. ] You have a whole tomb for a saber?

[a pause, here, then a sigh.]

[well, it has to be doing something.]
You've had contact with them?

Maybe you and me can come up with something.

[ she sounds tired, now: ] I haven't been able to think. I'm trying so hard to keep people together that I'm exhausted.

[a wry little smile, there. it's dangerous too, to not get close to many here, but--
it's something he can make use of, still.]

We can sit down and send a letter soon, if you want.

If you say so.
