Good idea. It'd be nice if we could learn what the rules of contacting them are—looks like "never during trials" is one of them.

Oh, I did that with young master Ayabe, during our task this week... there was a man in the house we couldn't speak with. It wasn't as hard as I expected.

Not to discount his efforts, but-- I do at least know I'm better at it than he was.

Well, he was trying to ask if the man broke in, and did this to make his point-

He was terrified, thought he was being threatened.

Just indicated not to listen to him, and tried a different way to ask the same question.

...he thought I was asking him to break the door, but we were locked in, so I had him do it. He knew how to disable the ward, as well.

... Wow, it sounds like you guys dealt with a lot. We just had to deal with pigeons and chests full of eggs.

Mm... well, ours worked out all right in the end, so I really can't complain too much. I'm sure some of the others had it worse.

Well, in the long run, it was pretty harmless for everyone, right? No one mentioned getting hurt.

This week was a seriously bad one...

To be honest, less people died this week than I was expecting...

Perhaps there's less trust in the promise of doing something additional for us than there was in the promise of relief from something this place was already doing to us. We know the latter happens, but...

Well, killing someone else here is a large risk to take, if you're not positive you'll actually get what you wanted.
